PSA - Xbox One Download Issue !!

Activision has warned, Xbox One users who digitally pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 before October 7 and have their console set to Energy Saving mode may have downloaded an incorrect version of the game,

The issue appears to be identical to the one suffered by Halo 5, with pre-order customers advised to check the size of their pre-load to determine whether they do or do not have the correct files.


If it's less than 40GB, you've got an incorrect stub file and must re-download the game, Activision says. If you don't, you won't be able to download the updates necessary to boot the game at launch.

Those who pre-ordered on or after October 8 should not be affected by the issue.

To check which version of the game you have, follow these steps on your Xbox One:

1. Go to My games & apps.
2. Sort your game collection by selecting Installed - Sort by size.

If your Call of Duty: Black Ops III game size is greater than 40 GB, you've got the correct version, and you’re ready to download the necessary updates when they become available.

If your Call of Duty: Black Ops III game size is less than 40 GB, you've got an incorrect stub file. Delete that version and then reinstall the game.
