OUTDATED: ViperX420's RoS Tutorials and CKY DIIIRoS Editor News

    **Posted this as a new thread, currently has zero views, soooo i will delete that one and post it here in hopes of someone being able to answer even just 1 of the 8,768 questions I listed :p

    OK. So I use the editor (for my 360 save) to mainly just tweak the stats on my existing legit found gear. But there are a few items I would like to create. After hours of perusing through all of the threads about the SE, I have to ask: When people talk about needing the GBID to create certain items, are they using a different editor than me?? Because I havent seen a place to create by manually entering the gbid, just the ability to find what I want from the dropdown box of already known ids. Which I am thankful for no doubt, but just curious as to if gbid is relevant to someone using that method.

    Second question: If i want to create a new item, a legendary chest piece for example, when i select "Blackthornes Surcoat" or "Inna's Vast Expanse" from the list - do I need to manually select an affix from each of the six dropdown boxes or are some/all of the possible affixes hardcoded into the gbid? Im asking because I dont want to create ridiculous or "modded" gear, but rather just want to create a few items that have normal affixes and stats. Something comparable to if I had found it myself.

    Also, as far as the item properties go...if i leave durability and max durability blank or at 0, then would my item basically be in a permanent broken state? 0.o

    As far as Horadric Caches go, i added an Act 1 - Torment 5 cache and changed the Quantity to 20, but only had one cache in my inventory in the game. Do I need to add 20 seperate caches or was it just an accidental save error on my part when creating the item? Also, when I open it in game does it still have a chance to drop the Act 1 cache only legendaries? I would think so but just checking. I just want the RORG, but not some 3 socketed crazy stat modded one.,,,

    Aaand I think thats all the questions i can think of lol. Just want to create a few things that are as close to legit as an item that was created in a save editor can be. Anyhow, Sorry for the lengthy post, but could someone help a girl out?! [​IMG]

    Q1:What is GBID?
    A1:GBID is the numerical code that put into the list that allows you to select the said item you want in the drop down menu if you right click where it says GBID in the inventory tab you'll see it says copy and paste this was how we tested new GBID's to make sure they worked prior to adding it to our drop down menus. So yes you can add items that aren't in the list yet, but if they aren't in the list they most likely do not work so don't bother trying til a new patch is released.

    Q2:Do I need to manually set each of the 6 affix myself or are they hardcoded?
    A2: Some Affixes appear to be hardcoded but not all affixes maybe 1-2 of a possible 6 affixes can be hardcoded to the item's GBID so if you are unsure you can always bring it into the game see how many affixes it has and add the remaining affixes in so you have exactly 6 affixes 4-5 primary affixes and 1-2 secondary affixes. Don't know what a primary affix is or what affixes can be on what gear here is a google spreadsheet i made to help the process.

    Q3:How do i get more Horadric Caches?
    A3:Changing the quantity on Horadric Caches does not work cause they do not stack you must simply left click the cache then click the Duplicate button til your inventory is full and your done its as simple and easy as that just remember to set Legendary Level to 70 Flags to 265 and keep quantity on 0.

    Q4:Does durability 0 on min and max durability mean it would stay constantly broken?
    A4:No actually quite the opposite leaving your min and max durability set at 0 makes your item indestructible and no longer breaks thus you never have to repair gear ever again. :)

    I think I got all your questions there if i missed anything don't be afraid to ask questions as long as it hasn't been answered already we don't mind answering questions about the program.

    kikiboy what about simply raising your level just a bit in order to speed up the process still while enjoying the game as you stated?
    You could simply add some extra levels, or adding a couple every once in a while and so on.

    ryohayabusa, I do that every once in a while. I just wanted to enjoy leveling up or collecting legendary or set items normally by grinding instead of putting every set items on my stash. don't get wrong though. The decrypter and save editor really works like a charm. I usually use those to put socket on my armor and obtain some crafting ingredients. Thanks mate.

    jrazor, are you talking about importing your diablo3 vanilla version save file to this editor?
    because that can't be done.
    if with import you mean "loading" your diabo3 ros save file with this editor, ask away





    bruno, wings are under "cosmetics" cathegory

    there are quite a few (wings of valor, blade wings , crimson angelic wings/if you are on PS3)not just the plain white angelic ones :)

    I need someone to confirm that 2.1.0 patch is on the consoles and there has been a few updates the last patch that i know of is 1.0.3 witch is a modified version of 2.0.6 i need to confirm that consoles are at patch 1.0.4 or 1.0.5 or 1.0.6

    hey CKY what's up?

    we are on patch 2.06 and there won't be anymore patches on both 360 or ps3.
    recently(was on 11st of Sept i think) there was that 1.02 patch for ROS which just improved some stability issues.


    So yeah never ever patch 2.1 for us on xbox360 and ps3 while there will be for xboxONE and ps4.

    I used to write scripts for the public, modding Arma 2/DayZ, and ran them on my servers. I truly appreciate all of the hard work ViperX420 has put into this. What I appreciate more is his focus on this project, and that is why he gets my respect! (it's not always easy playing mr. fix it lol)!
    I am a huge fan of Diablo and I want to thank you for doing the right thing with your hard work and not only releasing it to the public, but also making it work easily for the "general public". I have enjoyed sharing this with others and when I found out about this save editor I was playing Diablo II with one of every character, on ladder, all able to perform "runs" with ease. As a fellow gamer and also someone who has put hard work like what you have done into projects essentially taking a game apart and customizing it, I owe ya my gratitude. Many thanks ViperX420! Keep it up! I haven't had this much fun in a while!

    Glad your having alot of fun with the editor its nice to see people appreciate good hard work, but don't forget that I'm not the head Dev on this project CKY is actually the head Dev i just help out testing and ripping out code from PC - Editor so CKY can do what is necessary to keep the editor as up to date as possible :D if someone could figure out the secure_file_id for the ps4 version i might be able to put together a decryption tool for ps4 saves using the source code we have put together for our current decryption tool. Another thing i help out with is keeping all the tutorial videos up to date and teaching people how to use the program properly and as such hopefully my tutorials have helped alot of you on your journey into modding and Happy Gaming Everybody! :gamer4:

    LivinShadyLife, you didn't decrypt your save file before opening it with the mod tool did you?

    kikiboy just another thing about your issue.

    you can simply use a debug weapon/amulet/ring and set the affix "141-200 exp per kill" and use the option "flood with selected" to fill all of the 6 strings at once and do it super quickly.

    The debug stuff remains at level 1 so your are good to go...
