If you are going into negative amounts it's because you picked up to much money from somewhere. I robbed a armored truck and it pushed me negative and I had to reload the save.

You have a lot of money, SPEND IT!

Reading is fundamental. It's in the original post and in the save file names. 10 mins into the game, right after you get the mission to get your hair cut, which is why there is the picture of Franklin at the barbershop.
