Evolution Studios hopes to turn on a number of DriveClub's disabled online features later today. The studio said on Monday evening: "Continual upgrades to the DriveClub servers are building a steady increase in performance, meaning that we're getting more and more players connected. "The next server update is coming within 24 hours and will mean we can start to switch on more of the online features, so that you will be able to play more of DriveClub online. "We are sorry that we don't have more concrete news to share right now, but please be patient. We will have more information for you tomorrow." The PS4 title released in North America last Tuesday, in Europe on Wednesday, and in the UK on Friday, but its servers crumbled under the weight of users attempting to sample its social and multiplayer features. Evolution released a DriveClub update over the weekend designed to reduce server load and enable more users to connect to the racer's multiplayer component, which has been operating a one-in one-out policy. While it works to fix the problems, the studio has temporarily disabled some online features including challenges and social updates, although clubs, leaderboards and multiplayer races are available for those who manage to connect. Evolution has also delayed the launch of the scaled-back PlayStation Plus edition of the game, as well as the My DriveClub app. The studio hasn't ruled out offering compensation to DriveClub owners in order to make up for the game's bungled launch, game director Paul Rustchynsky has said. source:CVG
