Video game theme parks and attractions are very much a thing now, aren’t they? Hot on the heels of the announcement of a Nintendo park and a Ubisoft park comes this, the reveal of a Mass Effect ride.Coming to Santa Clara, California’s Great America theme park in 2016, the Mass Effect attraction is a “dynamic 3D adventure” set in the Mass Effect Universe.“The interactive ride, curated by a live performer, will take guests on a journey to a distant planet, where they will face off against larger-than-life foes and fight to save the day,” says the blurb on BioWare's site.“Using cutting-edge 3D technology and 4D effects, the ride throws passengers right into the action, creating a fantastical adventure that they won't soon forget.”The pic above is taken from the announcement. While not specifically stated, it looks like your "journey to a distant planet" will be aboard the Normandy. I wonder if they'll let you hump sexy blue aliens too?The next game in the Mass Effect franchise, Mass Effect: Andromeda, is also set to launch in 2016.
