You'll just be using HxD's file compare feature, which will highlight any differences between files. You can then see the differences between one save and another. Somewhere in the differences is what you're looking for, use your knowledge of your xp/funds before and after to find the correct location in the file. For example, if you had 1293 xp before open up calculator in windows and select view -> programmer. Enter 1293 and then select the Hex radio button. The calculator should then show 50D. So you would look through the differences and find 50D. When you find it mod it as the tutorial suggests and continue from there.

You must not have done everything right then. I've modded your funds in one save. You can gain some xp first, then spend some and compare the saves before and after spending the xp in order to mod xp. Here's the modded funds save: http://www.NOTALLOWED.com/file/A64DB5EE8ADC1B12

Thanks so much man, 1 last question, Maybe what Im doing wrong, when you have to type in the "packzip.exe -o 0x00000054 00000054.dat <Your changed save's name here>" I delete .dat and put .frt, because it always says package not foubd, or something like that, Should I just keep moving without replacing .dat or does it even matter?

I've modded xp tons of time without issue but I'm having a hard timing modding owner funds. I started a new save spent some money and compared the saves. The compared file came up with 2 strings that where different in the saves and matched the amount of money I had remaining. I tried editing the first string, then the second, and then both and I end up with -1 dollar each time. Any idea on what I might be doing wrong?

You need to replace the modded 00000054.dat/frt in the changed save. I've never gotten a package not found error, so I'm not sure how to help you with that one. Just be sure the 00000054.dat/frt is in the same folder as packzip and that you aren't including the <>'s or ""'s.

Yeah, this happened to me once when i replaced the funds with 7FFFFFFF, which is why I changed the OP to make sure you replace the funds with FFFFFFFF. If you do this correctly, you should get 2.15B in funds.

I stuck with: "5. Type into the command window: "offzip.exe -a <Your base save's name here> Inflated 0" - without the quotes and without the <>"

I draw the modding folder into the command box and then type everything like it suposed to be. With my save's name and without quotes but i still get the message like "could not be found". What i'm doing wrong??? I guess it has nothing to do with Windows XP

you need to place the save and the changed save into the modding folder then open the command prompt window.
