You may have struggled to load your favourite social networking apps this morning, which can be a nightmare for those long work commutes. However, it wasn't down to your sh*tty mobile Internet - there's a more plausible explanation than that. Facebook, Instagram, Tinder and MySpace, amongst others, all experienced down-time for around 40 minutes at 6:20am this morning. The cause of the problems was an apparent outage at Facebook’s HQ which cascaded to other networks that use Facebook to authenticate users. The issues resulted in Facebook and Instagram mobile users being given the "cannot refresh feed" message, whilst desktop Facebook users simply struggled to load the website in their browser. Facebook are claiming this is not the case and their downtime was due to a misconfiguration of some sort.
I see now they are targeting social media. i believe they took down twitter before. It might have been a misconfiguration or it might of not been. We never know who is telling the truth.
