Following last week's report that Konami had ceased production on triple-A titles, the firm has moved to deny the claims, stating that it's still working on its key franchises like Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Castlevania and Pro Evolution Soccer.“I can promise you that we’re definitely not leaving Metal Gear behind or anything like that. I know some blogs were claiming that online this morning, but I’m not really sure where they’d be getting that from," reads a public message from Konami's customer support (via Nintendo Life). “We’re still definitely working on console games and franchises such as Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Castlevania, PES and all the rest.”So, long story short, we have nothing to worry about. Konami is even talking about more Metal Gear games on the cards, without the guidance of series overlord Hideo Kojima. As for Castlevania, Silent Hill and the rest, we've heard hide nor heair about these franchises for a while. As ever, watch this space
