    Hi

Apologies for the length of post but trying to capture as many issues as possible to save re posting.

My intention is to buy a slim with a DG16D4S drive. In that context:

What’s the best method of obtaining a slim with this drive? (ideally one with mxic chip) I tried ebay but you don’t seem to be able to drill down to that level. I suppose I could ask for 2010 manufacture and earlier??

I’m clear on key extraction process for both chips with this drive, but in relation to flash: if mxic chip, would people generally favour sputnik probe or sputnik switch method?

In relation to Winbond chip- is there a recommended video for the kamikaze?
Should I go for replacement pcb option: Do I have to buy generic one as ones specific to drive no longer available? Also folk always stress that this method avoids having to solder, cut traces etc but am I right in thinking you have to de-solder tray wires on the old pcb and then re-solder those on the new one?

Finally, should I decide to buy an x3ky, can that be fitted in a flashed console?

Many thanks for reading. I realise I’m going to risk fanning flames, but I have read and researched. I’m not entirely new to this as have flashed Phat with LT 3.0 but realise that slim is more complex,, more kit needed etc.
