Now that Nottingham-based studio Deep Silver Dambuster Studios taking up development duties on Homefront: The Revolution back in July 2014, today publisher Deep Silver has confirmed that the long-gestating open-world FPS is still on its way, but won't make this year. Instead, Homefront: The Revolution is now aiming to launch in 2016, with Dambuster Studios' boss Hasit Zala at the helm as Game Director. “We are excited that Deep Silver’s acquisition of the Homefront IP and assets from Crytek has allowed development of Homefront: The Revolution to continue with minimum disruption,” says Zala. “The team here believes we are working on something truly special.” Apparently, development on Homefront: The Revolution "continues at full speed", as Dambuster Studios works towards the new 2016 release window for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. “Dambuster Studios are an extraordinarily talented group,” said Deep Silver CEO Dr. Klemens Kundratitz. “We are giving the team every opportunity to turn Homefront: The Revolution into a best-selling title, and have set a 2016 release date to provide them the time they need to achieve this. You can expect to hear more about the game later this year.” Source - X360A
