soon as i flick the power switch at the back it just beeps and then starts flashing red do you no a fix or what is causeing this any help wud be great NO yellow or green lights appear just red!
What happened to you being a "pro" lol None the less, list the steps you have done until it started this.

They have not come across this problem because they done it properly lol. You have avoided my question. List ALL of the steps you have performed.
A console will not do something like that from just turning on and off a console. You've obviously gone wrong somewhere. Sounds like a corrupted flash to me. Can you boot to recovery mode by any chance?

You can do this fan test. Turn the mains switch off, hold the eject button. While holding it, turn the mains on, when the power light is green, release it, it will beep The fan will operate at the highest speed possible and will eject any disc that is inside. After about 15 seconds the fan will stop spinning and the ps3 will beep 3 times and blink a red light. When this happens, turn the mains off and on then turn it on normally. Tell me how this goes!! It seems the fan is blocked if the red light is blinking but ain't switching on or if that ain't the issue the console is dead
You've obviously done something. If it's not the fan as Evo said..then there's definitely a PEBKAC as the console would yellow light for hardware and software errors.
