GTA 5: Rockstar building new update on Xbox One and PS4 with latest fan offering

GTA 5 is set to receive its next instalment of free content this summer, which will include the PC version's Rockstar Editor coming to PS4 and Xbox One.



UPDATE With the release of GTA 5's next content update set for Wednesday July 8 next week, Rockstar have shared a handy new tip to help you manage the new weapons set to be added.
Rockstar have revealed a way for fans on the Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms to select defaults for each weapon slot in GTA Online.
The new tip should come in very helpful as certain weapons in GTA Online can’t be dropped, leaving many having to cycle through reams of collection firearms before reaching their preferred choice.
Indeed, in GTA Online the weapon wheel resets every time a new server is joined, leaving users having to cycle through the options yet again.
Sharing their new solution, Rockstar explained: "Although it’s not possible to drop or remove purchased weapons from your inventory in GTA Online, you can set the default weapon in each category.
"To do this: enter Story Mode, bring up the weapon wheel, and select the weapon you would like to have set as your default in each of the 8 categories.
"Once you have your defaults set, bring up the in-game phone, select ‘Quick Save’, and create a new save game. From now on, the default weapons you have set for your Story Mode character will be reflected in GTA Online.
UPDATE: Rockstar have announced that the new Ill-Gotten Gain Part two content update for GTA 5 will launch next week.
Part Two will arrive for all platforms next week, on Wednesday July 8 and will add a new collection of extravagant attire and vehicles for those who have built up sizeable cash reserves from the Online Heists missions.
The PC-exclusive 'The Lab' radio station will also be added across all four console platforms with the new update, although there is no word on the promised Rockstar Editor coming to PS4 and Xbox One as of yet.
A second Ill-Gotten Gains Social Club Event Weekend will be kicking off on Friday, July 10th, while favourite items from the Independance Day Special update are also set to return at reduced rates, including the Firework Rocket Launcher.
