The next generation versions of the game for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has helped the game hit a new milestone. Grand Theft Auto V has sold more than 40 million units worldwide, as of the week ending December 20, according to VGChartz. The game has sold 40.56 million units. The game has sold 16.97 million units in the US and 15.68 million units in Europe. The PlayStation 3 version accounts for nearly half of the all the sales. The game has sold 19.24 million units worldwide on the PlayStation 3. The Xbox 360 version has sold 17.79 million units. The PlayStation 4 version has sold 4.73 million units, while the Xbox One version has sold 1.81 million units.
