Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V has managed to reach over 45 million copies sold-in to retailers since the launch of the original game on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in September 2013, publisher Take-Two Interactive has announced in an earnings statement. While the sales figures relate to units sold-in to retailers rather than sold through to consumers, it's still an impressive number that's been boosted significantly following the release of GTA V for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in November 2014. In fact, Take-Two says that "nearly 10 million units" of the new-gen version have been sold to date. Earnings for the previous year during the same quarter were $1.86 billion, indicating just how major the impact of GTA V's original September 2013 launch was. In other GTA V news, GTA Online Heists are still on the way, but we're still awaiting a solid date for their arrival. Source,Gamingnews.
