Gotta factor in that different screen sizes can heavily distort the image, might be in your best interest to make versions for different size monitors, mainly the most popular ones such as your mac screen, then 1366x768 for most PC laptops, and so on

All in all, this is a great idea, but there's still one factor, and that can't be solved easily

Take into account that you're on a smaller screen size than me, and that I'm on a larger screen size than you. If you set yours to look right on your screen, and I set mine to look right on my screen, they'll still look wrong to other people, and then still look right for some more people.

For example, if someone with your same screen size viewed your profile, it would look just fine, but say I viewed your profile, my screen size being larger, would make it look wrong still. There's no real way to combat this besides if XPG themselves set it so you can upload multiple sizes as a background, and then it will serve out the right size depending on the individuals settings. Such as if you could use multiple sizes on one profile, yours for example, and then if I clicked it, it would dish out the 1366x768 size because that's what is detected from my system, but that's a lot of work to set up right

For more examples about what I mean, I'm sure on your end, your profile background looks perfect, but to other such as myself with a larger screen, and then some people with smaller screens, it would still look wrong.

Even then that wouldn't fix it, because say you made one to custom fit me, and then you viewed it, it would stretch off screen for you because your screen is smaller.

There's no real way to have a customization such as this and have it display properly to everyone who views it

 

Lol they could instate a two background system, one that only you see, and one that everyone else sees. That way, you could use your background and only you would see it, and then have a patterned background or something that everyone else will see if they go to your profile, this way everything looks right all the time
