Upgraded to the latest dashboard 2.0.16767.0 Drive: DG-16D4S FW: 1071 Manufactured Date On Drive: June 2011 Manufactured Date On Back Of 360: July 2011 I have a "Xecuter X360USB PRO V2 Ultimate Bundle" with updated firmware. Came with Sputnik360 Probe AC MOLEX ADAPTER CK3 PROBE 3 MOLEXT PORTABLE POWER SUPPLY Can't remember if anything else. Anymore info needed please let me know. I know flashing has been updated over the years so i'm hopeing for an easy flash. Most guides I found are old.

thats the only vid i would remember that worked for me you should have a look on team-xecuter site for a better insite as am no pro with flashing drives and i don't want you braking your drive
It looks like no matter what, i gotta drill. Anyone know where to get "Maximus Kamikaze Template" in the U.S. I found some places but I never heard of them or how the service is.
I was going to try the drill part without the "Maximus Kamikaze Template" but it has way to much stuff on the right side of the chip making it impossible to see the pins to count
youre better off getting the template as counting the pins on the chip is ridiculous to do as its covered in epoxy or even easier just dump youre key then buy an unlocked pcb online then when it arrives just flash youre key over to that one . then you can always try and unlock youre original pcb at a later date as if you drill too deep or in the wrong place youre gonna need a new pcb anyways and its always best to have a backup board ,
Would getting a Digital Microscope help. There is way to much glue to see the pins on the right side so will that let me see them. Plus i'm having a hard time finding the template with drill in the U.S.
I just read about someone having some kind of disk reading error after the Kamikaze hack with the same drive & FW I have 1071. Someone then said he should have disconnected the laser ribbon. Is this recommended because all the topics I read say nothing about doing this
Better safe than sorry. They say you don't need to remove the ribbon but i always do just to be safe.

the big brown one running to the laser unplug the ribbon on both ends and put it in a safe place while doing th flash
ok i did the drill part. watching the video posted in this thread it said to hit read after you hear the noise from drilling. JF says: Stage 1 failed Authorisation failed
Have you got all the current firmware extracted to the proper folder ?
