Elder Scrolls Online could be gearing up for a launch on consoles in February.

That's according to the game's Microsoft Store listing, which earlier today briefly had the game down for launch on February 24, according to several reports.

That date has since been changed to a more vague "2015" release. Placeholder release dates are commonplace in online listings, but are usually pinned for the last day of a given month.

It's also worth considering that February 24 is a Tuesday, which is the day that games are typically released in the US.

The game launched on PC and Mac in April this year. The console versions were originally due to be released in June 2014, but they were delayed by six months to allow ZeniMax time to "solve a series of unique problems specific to those platforms".

In December the game was later delayed even further to a 2015. Game director Matt Firor said at the time that the console versions were "playable and fun right now, but there's still some work to do before we can set an official launch date".
