The first invites for DOOM's Closed Alpha are being sent out today, as it prepares to get underway this weekend. Access to the alpha was included with copies of Wolfenstein: The New Order purchased on or before 26th May 2014, and there's still time to sign up using your bundled code here.In the DOOM multiplayer alpha, you'll be granted access to the industrial-themed Heatwave map, the "core of DOOM's arena-style multiplayer combat" 6v6 Team Deathmatch mode, the ability to play as the Revenant demon when you're the first player to pick up the Demon Rune, and one power weapon in the Gauss Rifle.Also included are six weapons - the Vortex Rifle, Super Shotgun, Repeater, Rocket Launcher, Static Cannon and Plasma Rifle - and Equipment items: the Personal Teleporter and Frag Grenade. The DOOM Multiplayer Closed Alpha kicks off on Friday, 23rd October at 12:00am Eastern Time/05:00am BST and will conclude on Sunday, 25th October at 11:59pm Eastern Time/04:59 am BST.
