Koei Tecmo has relaunched Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Core Fighters for free on Xbox One today, offering up a base version of the game with four characters and access to almost every available game mode. Should you wish to expand the game, you can also purchase individual characters or upgrade from Core Fighters to the full version.Downloadable for free, DoA 5: Last Round Core Fighters includes Ayane, Hayate, Kasumi and Ryu Hayabusa, while costumes purchased in Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate or Dead or Alive 5: Last Round on Xbox 360 can be ported across to Core Fighters on Xbox One. If you upgrade to the full game, all previously-purchased costumes and DLC are also transferable.Some features and Story Mode are locked off in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Core Fighters, but can be unlocked for a fee. Essentially, you can download Core Fighters for free then bolt on the characters and other bits that you want.
