Hey there, TeeBee918 here. I've been lurking on XPG for a long time (for almost 10 years!!). I'd like to introduce myself and tell my most recent successful cross-platform save transfer stories. The first one would be: Yonder - The Cloud Catcher Chronicles. I played it on PC, but when I completed it I noticed that it was released on the Switch as well. I checked out the save file sizes and the PC ones were like 10x bigger, but I still tried it without expectations. Copied my saves to a folder on the SD Card and injected them with Checkpoint. To my wonder the game recognized them, but there was no date, no save picture and no description. Loaded one of them, took like a minute to load (instead of the usual few seconds, I totally thought it froze), but in the end it loaded successfully. And all my progress was there, wow! When I saved, it produced a regular Switch save, which loaded quickly the next time. Maybe this trick works on many Unity-based games across many platforms. The second one was the recently released Pikmin 3 Deluxe on the Switch. I played it on WiiU back when it was first released and wanted to transfer my progress. After a bit of trial and error, the only thing I had to do is to rename a few files, e.g from single0.sav to 0single0.sav (or 1single0.sav/2single0.sav, depending on which save slot I wanted them to be in, as in contrast to the WiiU version, the Switch one has 3 save slots). The save had missing date info (defaulted to 1st of January, 1970), but everything worked fine. I hope you enjoyed my success stories. Now only if someone knew how to convert Death Stranding saves from PS4 to PC (tried a simple copy, but the files have very different sizes and contents, even though the file names/structure are basically the same).
