Call of Duty Advanced Warfare reportedly blocks PS4 Share Play Activision seemingly intent on not supporting the feature with its new game Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare doesn't support PS4's newly launched Share Play functionality, according to reports. Launched in late October as part of PS4 system update 2.0, Share Play enables a second user to enjoy multiple software features remotely without having to own the game being played by the host, including taking control of the title during sixty minute sessions. However, Reddit users report that Activision has made special use of Share Play's 'blocked scene' option - which is intended to avoid spoilers by limiting access to certain scenes, by extending it across the entire game - effectively disabling the feature. Advanced Warfare PS4 owners attempting to use Share Play report being greeted with the following message. "The host's game screen is not displayed because the current scene is a blocked scene for Share Play. Wait until the blocked scene is finished." During a PS4 event last month, Sony ducked our attempts to find out if every single developer and publisher would allow Share Play to work with their games. Source: CVG
