The Battlefield 1 developers love to plant little easter eggs, but they didn't quite hide their latest one in the Fort Vaux map coming in They Shall Not Pass. There seems to be a zombie running around in one of the isolation containment units in the inner corridors of the garrison. After I heard the first one I was skeptical. Was this from a movie? Did they overlay a soundfile for the video? They didn't. I found several more videos of the Zombie within the walls. When you listen in, the audio seems to run in a loop, though it doesn't play very often. The previous easter egg hunt in Battlefield 1 revolved around finding telegraph systems on various maps, decoding the messages, and following the trail. Ultimately, the trail ends with a dog tag saying: "You've found something that does not belong to you." As the dog tag is titled "A Beginning," the zombie in Fort Vaux may be part of the continued hunt. Players who've received the dog tag were then sent a new message filled with zombie-like throughout. Have a listen. What role the zombie plays within the hunt has yet to be determined, and may not be as the DLC has not even been released. DICE seems to be adding a continuation on their easter egg hunt within They Shall Not Pass, but it'll be up to the community to hunt down the clues and decipher their meanings — as always.
