Apple will let users return app, movie, song and book purchases within 14 days without reason. The new policy will only apply on purchases made in the U.K., Italy, Germany and France. Consumer protection: European customers who purchase music on iTunes will now be entitled to a refund for 14 days. First they made Google give their citizens the right to be forgotten, now European regulators have forced Apple to offer a 14-day, no questions asked return policy for digital goods purchased through iTunes and the App Store. Apple customers residing in European Union member countries have been granted the right to request their money back for any songs, apps or books within two weeks of purchase, provided the content has been downloaded automatically. If a user downloads the content manually to another device, the refund does not apply. Apple previously allowed users to cancel a transaction at any time until point of delivery, but because automatic downloads often cause content to be delivered instantly upon payment this didn't actually allow users any time to change their minds.
