It worked for me, you went to extinction? Joined a game? Play for a min. Let the match end whenever then dont leave.
I would go online, just join a match let it start down yourself and leave.
Yes that should work, if not just stay and down yourself. As long as the game starts it should work.
If you were infected with it all you have to do is play a game of extinction and it goes away. Hope i helped
