How loud is the XBOX One Fan ment to be??

So, i got an re-placement console on Sunday. And people say there fan's are dead quite. Mine is moderate i guess because i'm not sure how loud peoples consoles are as I've never gone to see any of my friends consoles to review and hear there console's noises. But can somebody tell me or record how loud there's is. Mine console is right next to me and i can just hear it. But it's definitely not as loud as my XBOX 360 SLIM.

Hmmhm, thanks for the reply. But i''m pretty sure you can hear it some times there not all that silent are they?

 

mine is on my desk about... maybe a foot away from me at any given time. Never heard the fan. It's on right now downloading and I can't hear it through the silence of my room even when I listen.

 

They are not silent, but they are not as loud as the slims either. It could be different fan models or brands like the 360's had.
If you can sit 6-8 feet away and hear it then there might be an issue but I wouldn't worry about it. Register the console so you have your warranty and don't sweat it.

You might not hear it because it quiet but they do make noise.




I have mine apart doing a favor for Bullet & Angerwound(Hdd Tool Developer), If you want I can make a video for you if I can get this house silent.

Same Mines is right next to my computer desk its on just downloading games no fan noise at all

 

Well, i guess i'll be taking the console back for the 3rd time WOOO! Microsoft it amazing :/

 

I wouldn't worry about it if it was mine, not all xb1 will sound the same.

I can leave mine on for days and i dont even remember its on because its so quite its nothing like the 360 fan

 

Mine is the same, I never turn it off.

 

I tried man, but the noise it too loud when recording, even though it doesn't make that much noise..

 

xb1 has a good heatsink on it, lol

I forgot to plug the fan back in today and it prob ran for 10-15min before I noticed it because I had it apart and it still didn't overheat and the heatsink wasn't really hot. But I did replace the thermal compound long ago with IC Diamond 24c

 

Whenever i play forza 5 and have the internet explorer running in da background my xbox one fans rev up for about 30-45 sec sounds like concord takin off
and this only started since the update 1406
Im part of the xbox ambassador program and the preview program and cant find any info regarding this fan issue

My fan is quiet like most others i cant even tell my Xbox One is on if it wasn't for the light on front. But my HDD is ticking now which doesn't sound good at all

 

Anyone got any idea what temp threshold is on stock xbone ?
