Game Genie claim to be developing a cheat system for the Playstation 4 that works by using a security loophole between the PS4 and the Vita! The vulnerability that the PS4 version of Game Genie uses a hidden Wi-Fi signal to detect a backdoor entry to the system: The cheat system developers insist that you should not use the cheats to ruin online gaming for everyone else! I loved this stuff back then, but you know people are going to be complete idiots and use this stuff online.
this is GREAT news considering i've gone "selfish sony" this gen. "not going back to microsoft till they remember why the 360 was/is such an amazing console" and i despise online multiplayer, find it utterly stupid and will never go near it so thats damn sure not an issue for me..
Nice way to cheat, but aren't you guys thinking of bad things that could come from this? People could easily hack into your PS4, right?
I don't know I can't justify buying a game system I'm not going to use just to change a save file.. Sure there is a lot that the vita can do but I'm not interested in doing any of it, except save editing.. As it stands with out game genie you can copy your save to the vita and edit it from what I understand, but I don't own a PS4 or a vita and doubt I ever will just my 2 cents..
I was and still am a HUGE fan of Game Genie and products like that (Game Shark, ect.)! I know that due to the types of codes and how they work that many will not work online for the simple fact that the info between clients would not be the same during changes. Now some things like frozen values might be a issue. Unknown... I for one only want to be able to cheat single player games and make the old ones like new by change'n the game itself. Remember the old days when some cheats made the game HARDER?! That was awesome! Remember playing Mario and use of the SUPER JUMP and such? What about the great cheat/mods that not only work for you but works for the AI/PC also? (like unlimited ammo or instant build working for you and your AI enemy) These simple ones were great for making old borring games ALIVE again with new ways to play and new content! For all the people who are scared about online play issues and this device, why not put a online disable device/option in the Game Genie? Like disable Wireless/Wired Connection completely when in use? That would solve the entire issue would it not?
