I'm using windows 7
after hours and hours failed to update, my solutions:

1. Do not use WIFI, disable all WIFI
2. plug the LAN cable to the same router
3. set xbox and PC network to automatic IP
4. Disable Firewall
5. Disable antivirus (i'm using comodo)
run updateMyConsole

it work! ( at least for me)
