Flappy Bird Creator To Take Game Down Tomorrow

According to his follow up tweets, there have been no legal actions taken against him for the alleged use of art assets from Super Mario Bros., and the decision is entirely personal. Said Nguyen in another tweet, "I can call 'Flappy Bird' is a success of mine. But it also ruins my simple life. So now I hate it." He went on to say that he plans on continuing to make games. Despite what we thought of it, Flappy Bird is reportedly making the Vietnam-based developer around $50,000 a day in ad revenue.

Thats the whole reason hes pulling the plug, he didn't have rights to use the background.

 

Also the ads that are in the game are probably getting him a lot of money.

Plus, even when the game is down he'll be getting ad money from the people that already have the game, the $50k a day will probably keep up for at least another week.
