need some advice on my phat liteon drive

hello i have a phat xbox the drive is lite0n it has been flashed but my computer got wiped and i have lost the files from the flash for it and i need to get a new drive as it broke today and i don't have the sticker that tells you the FWver/HWver and model number

this is what i meen i dont has this i lost it

is there any other way to find all this out

 

All Phat LiteOn drives are the same, they all use the same firmware too.

You'll need to buy a new LiteOn drive and then spoof it with your broken drives keys. You should be able to obtain the keys from the drive, assuming you've not fried it.

 

can i not just take the drive motherbord off my old one and put it on the new one ? and thank you for the quick reply

 

Yes you can, but there's 6 wires I believe that'll need to be de-soldered from your current board and then soldered onto the new board.

 

as long as the drives still intact and the board still works u will able to retrieve your key no problem

 

i got told you can not spoof on the new dash + i am connected to xbox-live

 

where would be the best place to get a new phat lite0n drive from

Are you sure? I thought you couldn't spoof a Hitachi as LiteOn etc. but you could still spoof a LiteOn as a different LiteOn?

 

its been awhile but drives should never be spoofed if connecting to live. have to tried connecting the drive to your PC with jungle-flasher? that will give you all the drive info and DVD key, it should work if you haven't fried your pcb. also it might just be your laser

 

What's the actual issue with the drive? Maybe it can be easily fixed.

 

i use a benq as my drive was a liteon i didn't do the spoof just used the key and my dash updates work fine.

 

no you would have to replace it another lite-on drive

 

If your drive is fried and the key is un-retrievable you could still get it from the Xbox 360 by installing a coolrunner and getting it from Xell.

 

drives cannot be spoofed anymore if so you will get an error as in E66 etc etc , and there is no need to even attempt to spoof liteon to a liteon just retrive the key and flash over to a new drive or even as already suggested unsolder old pcb if stiil all ok and resolder into the replacement drive .

Yep that should do, that's on an older FW from before one of the dash updates.

If you're flashing the drive with then you should probably use the 02510C firmware.

 

i am not flashing the drive i just need to put my old drive motherbored in there will that work ?
