So my retail console isn't turning on (no red rings) and I am buying an RGH tomorrow and I was wondering if you can host recoverys without a retail? Or if there is anything you can do without a retail console? If you have any advice for my retail please share because I have no clue if it is broken broken or something else
It just doesn't turn on at all? try different cables? as for needing a retail, no. I've not used my retail for months and i've recovered 1000s of people. You only need a retail for system link modding tbh. Connecting a Jtag/Rgh online with the same IP as a retail will most likely ban both. So when switching between your retail and Jtag etc, change your IPs I hope this helps. Any more questions?
If your RGH is online, then yes, you can do recoveries such as call of duty mw2 but if you're planning to do recoveries with an offline RGH. You must have a retail to join through system link to do the recovery.
