I posted earlier but no response but this also bricked my 360 slim. Looking for some help too. I have the nand dump but my eject button does not work so I cannot boot up into Xell. Tried using the wired controller to see if that would work too but no luck. I don't suppose there is a way to boot up and reflash the nand direct from a usb stick plugged in? Any help appreciated, thanks.
Easy as pie. Thanks for posting! Note: I did have to turn off Windows Firewall on Win 7 for it to detect the 360.
ohhhh thanx man u R the best.........this really worked.........i can't believe that i'm running new version Million thanxxxxxxxxx :dance2:
I was about to pay 25 dollars to get my nephew's console updated coz I find all the other tut with all the usb transfer bla bla so complicated until I found this..finally something useful and simple and yes sir YOU THE MAN sir haha.. Successfully updated the console the sudden shutdown freaked me out though but after that boooom GTA 5 he's happy as a clown.. : ) THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Delete your old dashlaunch if the update doesnt work... Just copy the new one to your USB transfer it to Xbox HDD then load default.xex from the dash launch installer folder.. It will load dashlaunch asking you the patches are old and needs to be updated select yes yes yes and it will reboot.. then try again.. I had the same error earlier and this fixed it for me
Hi there mate, apparently this is the easiest way to update the Kernal. However, I have a question, how does this whole process deal with the NAND Dump and CPU Key mating into the NAND?
Thanks so much for this! It worked like a charm and couldn't have been easier I've been having a strange issue since I updated. Freestyle (3.0 775) now runs choppy when I browse through game menus. Almost in slow motion. Never had this issue before. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

Will this work if both console and laptop connected wirelessly? And will this make a NAND backup in case anything goes wrong? Thanks
It should work fine with wireless on both ends, I cannot verify that 100% since my PC's are on wifi and the consoles are hardwired to the same router ,, and no it does not,,you will need to make a backup with a program like "360 NandFlasher" or similar before updating if you do not have a current backup
