Reason why is most likely because you're just extracting the file from your USB direct to your desktop and trying to open it that way. You've gotta go into your save file inside Horizon (double click on it) and then go to package contents... you'll see the save file there, right click and hit extract, save it to your desktop and that will allow you to open it up and Mod it as you're needing to. I did the same thing the first time and got that error lol
Alright, I'm going to throw my files up again if anyone wants to take a look - I've gotten the differences with funds and coach XP a bit closer but I still can't seem to find the differences with all the variables out there. If anyone wants to change them before I get to them, I'll gladly PayPal that person $5.00 if they want. I'm glad to pay money to people who are more efficient at this than I am. I'd really like this to be done, but I guess the time trying to learn this hasn't cooperated with me so nicely. Hey Unnamed One (or anyone else lol) I'm still not seeing the fields to adjust on Madden. I've even tried the bigger amount (14 M) and then spending a little money and trying to find it inside the HEX Editor comparison and it's not showing me the field i need to adjust. Wonder if this might work? I was thinking about maybe starting a new connected career altogether, and seeing if I could purchase something, and find the hex editor field that way? I was thinking that the location of the various components shouldn't change just because you're using a new save, so I could see if that might work. Let me know if you think that this is a bad idea, or if it might be able to finally pull this off lol.
I didn't see that exact location in the earlier post, where did you end up finding your money at? which line was it on and how far off were they from the summarized amount on the screen?
i have 2145xp on a player and i try to mod it and when i go back to the game its still the same amount
At this point, I'm willing to donate to whoever wants to develop a full fledged tool. I know it'll take a lot of time, but if I can throw some money at someone for the benefit of the community, I would gladly.
I'm having a problem with my player gamesave. When i load it with the mod tool it says i have 0XP but i really have 7000xp. I changed it to 500,000xp and put it back into my xbox but the xp didn't change.
I've been at this since yesterday and I just can't get it... I've always been able to extract files without a problem using most programs, (modio, horizon, xplorer, etc.) But now, I'm not even sure which file I'm supposed to be removing from my xbox's HD anymore... I haven't changed any of the file names, they are all default. I only have one person in my franchise/career mode, and it's a QB. I really don't understand why it's not working... I have tried extracting all the files, the one that says Roster, the one that says Profile- Madden, and the one that is called PLYRSKILL- Plyrskill. All of them give me the same error when I try to run them on the SE, it gives a pop up error message: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately." It has an option for details, to continue or quit... If I press continue, it doesn't do anything for me. It never loads the file... Any help would really be appreciated, I'm stuck.
I will pay someone to mod my owner.....I usually come here and get a tool but everyone has kind of thrown this game to the background. Anyways LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN MOD IT I'D APPRECIATE IT!
I've tried this multiple times. I put the save on my usb, extract it to the desktop with horizon, try to open with mod tool and it keeps telling me Unknown File Type.
Okay i've had some time and I have no idea what these steps mean : "7. Compare the two extracted files (in Inflated and InflatedChanged folders) in a hex editor with a file comparison feature such as HxD: http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ 8. There will be two bytes (most likely) that are different between the two files. 9a. For XP: Move the cursor to the byte BEFORE the changed bytes and overwrite them with FFFFF 9b. For Funds: If you're modifying funds you can go two bytes before and overwrite them with FFFFFFFF"
