I'd say it's bad burns or cheap discs to start with, if not I'd pot tweak the pots or at least check them, sometimes a lens clean can do the job too. On Tue PM me your address and you can chose a game and try one of my burns if you haven't sorted your problem yet.
u dont need a ihas. have u been using burner max and what type of media are you using. sounds like bad burns or the laser needs a pot tweak
my disks are Verbatim Logo Dual Layer DVD+R 8x DL Double layer Discs 8.5GB Singapore. top marks ones i burnt MW3, Payday and Saints row 4 using them disks and they work fine though, plus all the other games that work are burnt using them. All the others that work were burnt by XPGHAX, the only one that doesnt work that was burnt by hax is Aliens. also the laser is BRAND NEW out of the box today never been used ever, installed by splats earlier.
I use burner max, my drive is an ATAPI iHAS124 B. i have burnt games before that have worked but some dont.
Maybe theres something wrong else wrong with the Drive? Maybe put the new laser in another lite on drive? To test...
I've burnt a few games lately and none have worked, 100% burnt 100% verified and it still says disc unreadable, I think it's down to a burner issue. I've burnt over 100 games in the past using a different drive,
Some games work though, recent games too, Saints row 4 and Payday2 worked, but Bureau, Splinter cell and lost planet 3 wont.
What do your disks look like? If there singapore verbs they should look like this, I've had them of addz and pete not had one issue with them. To me it sounds like a burner issue as your saying some work and some don't. Mine look like this. Spoiler
Its a bad burn bro happens allot , I was round a friends house today it took us about 6 disks just to get one working!
Ermm , I don't know anymore but do you have a XGD3 Burner ? because that might be why you can't burn games like splinter cell ect
There is different game types there XGD2 Games witch are games like WAW , MW2 , Sims 3 , Dead Island Riptide XGD3 are the more latest games such as Black Ops 2 , Splinter cell and Saints Row 4. The burners for XGD3 are about £50/60 now.
