Pretty much the only thing people didn't like about Sony's E3 conference was that tiny little part where they announced that you'd have to pay a subscription fee (PS+) to play games online with the PS4. It was kind of a bombshell for some, but for others, it made sense given the value of PlayStation Plus. After being asked what went into the decision to charge for online gameplay, Sony explained that online features and services are going to be a "big pillar" of the PS4 experience. They go on to note, "we've already talked about the share button, sharing features, second screens...if we continue to invest into online infrastructures, that costs money. If we continue free service for online multiplayer, from a business standpoint, there's pressure to recover costs. That's when we decided 'let's ask the people who are most active in playing online to share some of the cost so we can invest more.'" Sony ends with, "$399 is the price point we always wanted to hit. We carefully looked at the potential of the technology we put in the PlayStation 4. We believe that when PS4 comes out it will be the most powerful system inside." Source - Destructoid
PS+ Plus is actually Fecal Leaking, had 3 years of it with my PS3, they give Fecal Leaking games everytime.

i will admit that the "current" psn is kinda meh , and the social features are totally bla ... but with and from what i have seen on and about the "new" psn and social features , well it is all i need. i dont need a cable box or a dvr :gamer4:

I wish they could offer a free service to just play the multiplyer games...I'm sure the "free" games are awesome and all...but simply put, I don't need em...just want free psn play for multiplayer games is all.

That's how I see it. I never play online multiplayer anyway so I'm all good. That's another reason why I getting PS4, you can play all games offline without the use of the cloud bullshit that M$ are doing.
I get it..but I'm satisfied with the present QOS and having to pay nothing except for internet n electricity....don't need better services (with no alternative) for a price....It's like those "Spend more...Save more" bs that supermarkets come up with once in a while...if you're spending more you're paying more money...that's it...no other way around it. The so-called 'savings' defeat the original purpose of spending less money by the virtue of their very nature.
its not even that much for plus..... ill rather pay for online services so they can have money to pay for all the important updates.
