Following the revelation of a fact sheet detailing the launch day offerings of the Xbox One console shortly after its announcement, a debate has raged as to the decision not to include a headset. Today it’s been confirmed that this decision has been reversed, as an updated list of the contents has been revealed. The Xbox One hardware bundle will now include the Xbox One console featuring a 500GB hard disk drive and Blu-ray player, the new version of Kinect, a HDMI cable, and a redesigned wireless controller in addition to a wired Chat Headset. This package will be available from an unspecified date in November 2013, with a recommended retail price (RRP) of £429 GBP. This news comes from the official UK distributor for Microsoft Studios and Xbox products, Gem, who have communicated the above contents list to their retail partners. Source Electronic Theatre
MS Changing things again due to gamers and customers I doubt it you will be able to use turtlebeaches with xbox one but who knows It all depends on the connection to the controller from the headset.
I doubt that we won't be able to use them. I mean, there are these things called adapters. I wouldn't be surprised if the makers of the headsets like Turtle Beach, Triton and Astro will make their own adapters to keep their customer base happy.
a headset change is a big deal .. just lol gimme the no kinect bundle and i will think about getting ONE in the next 5-10 years ... lmao !
Turtlebeach are releasing the headset specific to XBOX ONE and the likes of the adapters they come out a bit after the relevant console release
Wont your TB works anyways mines just a USB connection, yeah you wont be able to plug it into the controller for chat function but im presuming they will still work.
I've not checked the specs on the XBone, but does anyone know if it has an optical audio input? As I have a turtle beach PX5 headset.
I doubt it for a while as the connection on the actual controller/Headset is USB not Jack as the same as headphones previous to the 360 controller As i stated before as well TB are releasing headsets specific to the XBOX ONE anyway
Sure I heard MS will be making an adapter for existing headsets to be used on xbox one Sent from my XT890
