What MS points Should i Buy?

Hello. I thought That MS POINTS are region locked. I live in Philippines. And Bought my Xbox 360 in Dubai. Can someone Help me?

 

Yup, Microsoft Points are indeed region locked. Your best bet is to order points online from dubai or to go there and buy them

 

i want to buy the 1600 points in amazon. i have a US account. Will it Work?

 

I think it wont work just because then your trying to put Microsoft Points from th U.S. to a Xbox from Dubai, but I don't know for sure.

 

I heard that 800 MS POINTS is Region FREE?

Most of the 800MSP are region free yes that is correct. I think some of the 1600's are too. It's when 2100 and 4200 come into play that the region lock is enabled.

If you buy a US Code for a US account it will work no doubt about it. Done it numerous times.

You can always go to system settings and check in there.
System Settings --> Console Settings --> Language and Locale --> Locale

 

it says UNITED STATES.

 

You can always do this as well.
Go to Xbox.com
My Account

Click Xbox Account Region

Click Next

Pick your region.

I'm pretty sure it's all about the account.
