Hi all, After sitting collecting dust since 2011 I thought I might give the old Xbox a go, Dirt3 mad at the moment. I have looked for several days now on sites and you tube on how to release the XB to its full potential.... I up until finding XPG got more confused, however now you have been bookmarked!!!!. I would appreciate any help in which direction to go on upgrading the XB, as this is the site to be on. Thanks in advance, Kennyboy.
all depends what you are wanting to do with your console. if you are looking to utilize xbl then drive flashing or installing an xk3y would be the way to go for you. If you are looking to play games from a hdd, have access to all dlc for the xbox, trainers and xbla games BUT have no xbl access then an rgh would be what you are looking for. all comes down to what you would like to gain from your console and what kind of gaming experience you are looking to gain.
Technically you can get online with an RGH, but you need to be either 1 of 2 things, mega loaded, or mega talented at modding. People sell spots on online servers, or you can create one yourself. Anyway, welcome to XPG.
true but your average gamer/user can't afford to rent time on the servers that can do this so mentioning is pie in the sky but as you stated it is possible.
I'm not bothered about on line games and xbox live, I'm looking for downloading and either playing from a hard drive or sky cloud, or even just a burnt disk, however I would like something that will last and fairly easy to install/ use...
