So I was playing cod and all of a sudden I get logged out and it says I was logged in on another console, so I for somereason just checked my emails and sure enough it said you Had requested a password change and stuff, so I reset my password and now I'm back up, but there is only one person I know who I have given my details to and that is larrymodz here on xpg. And also my bio had been changed to lol Iamnightmare. I'm really pissed, does anyone know if I can track who logged into my account? Or what I can do to Catch this son of a bumba Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Change your Password immediately (obvious) and request it to download the profile again on all consoles.
To Secure Your Account Fully 1) Change Your Password 2) Sign Out and Require Password On All Other Consoles 3) Change Your Security Question 4) Change Your Alternate Email 5) Add Your Cell Phone Number ^They will not be able to touch your account ~ Resource: i studied internet security for about 3 years
I would call Microsoft and tell them what happened. They can track whoever the mo fo is that did this. It might take a bit but hopefully they can tell you.
Not to be a "fly in the ice cube" or "half of worm in the half eaten apple" here calling microsoft might not be the best thing if this person has done any modifications to his acheivments, etc... When this sort of thing goes on it sometimes end up in the loss of a gamer tag delete the freind try changing you gamer tag first as a last resort goto microsoft if you have done any profile mods
Dude this happen to me on a dummy account and its crazy kus it only had like 120 gamer score why hack it but was it really carzy when i got on, it told me to download and it said the email does not exist on xbox, so i went on the gmail and the account said it didnt exist so not only they hacked my dummy account they hacked my email linked to the dummy account, the world we live in... i really didnt think they could hack live accounts.... i was wrong
If you don't want anyone to recover your account via hacking, just save it onto your flash drive, because while logged into your xbox they can hack to breach the firewalls and receive access to your hard drive. Although this is not possible if your files are on a flash drive, for it is not a component of your xbox which makes it impossible for hackers to gain access to.
The 2nd bit here is the key thing to do.If you don't do this whoever it was will still be able 2 log into your account!
