I was thinking of getting premium Minecraft and thanks (MUCH) to you I can check it out and see whats inside the package.

I'm already an addict on Xbox360 but having played Minecraft on PC its just that much better. They are releasing new content soon for Xbox players so it will evolve at a slow cooker pace.

Whats the largest project you've undertaken in minecraft?


Current in Creative Mode build - A6M3-32 with US markings. Wingspan 133 blocks Height (unfinished due to tail and wheel struts Length 378 blocks. If you are unaware of this plane - it was a Japanese Fighter used in Timor in 1942. Official Blueprints for this plane are - 'Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero'

I am considering building a B-17 Fortress warbird in my next map. Thinking this will take about a year to complete I am likely going to do it on PC. The Boeing B-17 will be at least 3 times larger in project size if I want to produce detail and quality that justifies a build of this nature. Anyone seriously interested in helping can contact me. I've also got blueprints for this beast and am still working out the engineering scale for the gridded mapping.

If you are into big builds that are truly to scale proportioned properly, you need to spend some time developing a scaling system as I have in my first few attempts. Eventually you can scale anything and then its a matter of working out how to fit it on the map. I now start with a flat map instead of terrained. It is much easier to build scafolding in to a scale than cutting it out of a solid like a sculpture. I use my grid system in Minecraft which is derived from the blueprint scale that is mapped out for counting blocks and shaping the proportion right from the start. It is very important that whoever works with you on any decent project that they also have a copy of the blueprint scale as you want to be working to the same result.


Oh BTW watch out for Minecraft Tornado.
