Jtags dvd drive wont open wehn pressing eject...

title says it all, i recently had xmas lights today, which in return i fixed, but now my hitachi drive, wont read, or even open when pressing eject button?? ive tried over dvd drives ( without spoofing them ) so i'd expecting them also not to read the disks, any ideas?

 

You havent had the drive out and put the cable in the back the wrong way around have you ?

 

yeah, the sata cable?

 

although that aint the problem, just swapped round the cable and still wont open

 

I meant the power cable from the back of the drive mate. The sata cable wont make any difference.
