Helo Reach - Stuck on Lt. Colonel Grade 3?

Hey guys if your stuck on Lt Colonel Grade 3, and can't buy that helmet you've been after, then do the following.

Turn Xbox off
Pull Ethernet Lead out
Start Xbox
Start Reach
Goto Armory and your true rank will be there, buy what you need then Turn off Xbox
Reinsert Ethernet Lead
Start Xbox
Start Reach
Play!

For some reason when online they've locked us out of getting past that rank..

 

The rank limit won't be lifted until the first dlc to keep people playing past black ops

 

Ahh, is that confirmed?
