I’ve finally made some real progress on a personal project I’ve been working on for quite some time — including a few late nights trying to get everything working properly. The idea came from something pretty simple: I wanted to play FPS games on my Xbox 360 RGH with a keyboard and mouse. I’ve never been very comfortable aiming with the right analog stick. I can play with a controller, but when it comes to FPS games, I always felt like I was fighting the controls instead of playing naturally. So I started working on X360Remap. The goal was to make keyboard & mouse work directly on the Xbox 360, without any external adapter or additional hardware. The setup is actually quite simple: A plugin placed in the root of the HDD Loaded through DashLaunch The X360Remap application for configuration Keyboard + mouse connected directly to the Xbox 360 No external adapter sitting between the console and the peripherals. The project currently includes keyboard & mouse input, button/key remapping, mouse calibration, controller support and per-game profiles. I’m also working on making the configuration and game profiles easier to manage. I’m not a professional developer. This started as a personal project because I wanted to solve a problem for myself, and it slowly turned into something I thought other people in the Xbox 360 RGH/JTAG community might enjoy too. It’s still a work in progress and definitely not perfect, but it’s now working on real hardware well enough that I’m ready to let other people try it. If you have an RGH/JTAG Xbox 360 and you’re interested in playing FPS games with keyboard & mouse, I’d really like to hear what you think. Thanks for reading — and if you try it, I’d genuinely love to hear your feedback. HB
