So the title may be a bit misleading here Anyway, since late November of 2014 I have been practicing Krav Maga Force(branch of traditional Krav Maga a.k.a. the official self defense/hand to hand combat method of the Israel Defense Force History of Krav Maga) I would have tested earlier this year but I had to take a month off training because of an injury in February. Basically the levels to Krav Maga Force starts with "-1"(or no level) and you're first test you become certified Level 0. From there you climb the ranks to I believe(don't quote me on this) level 4. Krav Maga Force's official video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9EH7ww2c8g A video of my class which was posted onto Krav Maga Force's official Facebook page https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pomf9EQRbM8 The certificate I received from passing my test This isn't intended to brag but I am now the second person in the entire state of Michigan to be a certified Krav Maga Force practitioner. *note: even though the test was taken back in June I didn't receive the certificate until about a month ago as it had to be sent in to KMF's HQ*
Lol I remember my self defense class. The guy who taught it, was a real, genuine, Ghurka, from Nepal. This guy was short, and easy to lose in a crowd, but oh my this man had skills... I had to move before completing the class, which spanned 10 years, I had only done 7, but those who complete all 10 years, get a Ghurka styled Khukri blade, the inward curved knife that is tradition to them. Guys like these can sneak into a town in the night, and silently and effectively bring the entire populated of said town, to zero. Ghurkas know their stuff. First day of class, this man says "If a man ever tells you he is not afraid to die, he is either crazy, or a Ghurka." He demonstrated some of what he knows on the first day, and of course, I was selected to be his example... He gave me a knife, which was one of the Khukri blades, and told me to attack him. So I did, this man disarmed me, knocked me down, and had the knife to the back of my neck, before I could even blink... I wish I could have completed the class, because he didn't give out those fake ones you can buy online, he gave us genuine Khukri blades, with the two sharpeners that traditionally come with it, but only if you complete the full 10 years. The year I signed up, was the last class he would ever teach. he planned that 10 years from then, he would retire, so I got in with the last class. And this guy was amazing guys, I can't even describe it... 7 years in his class and I learned maybe 2/10 of anything a true Ghurka would learn in their life. It doesn't matter what you know, who you are, or what you know, do not mess with a Ghurka. All in all, it was a tough class, a really tough class, 6 people dropped out first week. The rest of the class is still going, another year and he'll retire. But guys, Ghurkas... That's all I can say, they're mysterious, scary, ninja-like warriors, and it's best not to start a fight with them xD
Congratulations. looks like a lot of work and discipline, too muck work for me. Good thing I look like a Tough Mofo even though I am not, Lol
