This just started happening in the last month or so and now it happens almost every time I try to shutdown my 360. I can push the power button and it turns off the video, but the xbox stays on and the power light blinks until I unplug the power from the console. I've tried shutting down via the miniblades and the same thing happens. Is there a setting in dashlaunch or something that I've overlooked that causes my xbox to refuse to shutdown? I have a jasper bb 256 RGH1, it runs great except for the shutdown issue.
Try turning off background downloads in settings, Also mine does the same thing, I just press the power button and it turns off the video, then i press it again and the light comes on then when pressed a third time the console shuts off. This is in a span of 5-10 seconds.
My Big Block will sometimes stay on for up to 30 seconds after video shuts off but is few and far between. Please let us know if turning off background downloads works. Thanks
Double tap the power button & see if that does it. My retail slim & jasper rgh sometimes does it if I turn em off with the controller. A quick double tap of the power button on the console shuts em down.
Nice to know it's not just my console, thanks for the quick replies guys. I'll turn off background downloading and also try the double tap thing. I'll report my findings after a few shutdowns, about to play on link right now though. Thanks for the suggestions, I really appreciate it.
I've been having the same problem for weeks, I tried all the stuffs that I could imagine and finally this solution works for me. I've got a Xbox 360 Slim with RGH and Aurora DashBoard. I really was going insane man, I'd went to buy another power supply to replace mine. I saved money! God bless you!
