How to Install Call of Duty Black Op 3 on your Jtag/RGH Xbox 360 Console

Step One

Extract the Black Ops 3 ISO into a folder of your choice on your RGH
Then Download the Title Update and put in HDD\Content\0000000000000000\4156091D\000B0000
You will aslo need to copy the Compatibility 1 to HDD\Content\0000000000000000\4156091D\0000002 or the game will freeze.

Step Two

Get Horizon or Similar and the Compatibility pack 1 drag into or open with Horizon.



Step Three

Go to the Contents folder and hit extract all to a folder called Blops 3 for Example.





Last Step

Copy all the files you have extracted from your Compatibility pack into your Black Ops III game folder on your RGH.

Your Blops 3 game folder should look similar.


Play the game as normal.

Also if you don't have Horizon download this program below:

UnHidden Content:

View attachment wxPirs-1.1.rar

Open wxPirs-1.1 then select the Compatibility pack.


Then go to file and then extract to a folder Example Blops 3



There are no prompts when completed.
Then copy the entire contents of the extracted Compatibility pack folder into your Blops 3 game folder on your RGH.
Enjoy and play the game..

 

Any idea how i could get around this? I have a mac so i can't run Horizon. But nice tutorial! And no worries if you don't know, I'm not that fussed.

nice find and were the hell did u find the compatibility pack

 

with this method does that mean you dont need the compatability update on the xbox? just the files? I am able to play Multiplayer, {smh} but I just cannot get zombies to get past the needs update. Help??

 

I have a flashed Xbox and I'm banned from Xbox Live so I cannot download the Compatibility pack. I've tried injecting it on a USB with Horizon but when I run the game it gives me the error that the file is missing or damaged. Is there a workaround for this on a flashed Xbox?

Thanks for saving me time, doing this! : ) You can add also , that the CP is still needed in the content place ( at least for me, without it I have main screen freezes ) .

Also if some users still have freeze issue, they can try to unlock the CP with xm360 , or similar program, first. : )

Glad to see others sharing the methods they used , though I'm not sure why some are going this route. Essentially having 2 copies of the compat pack on their system doesnt seem needed to me, but hey whatever works for ya.

here are my steps that seem to work just fine for me on multiple consoles so far,, without the need for all the file work

0. Ensure you are on dash 17349 +

1. Install game rip to your choice location

2. Install Title Update File in Content\0000000000000000\4156091D\000B0000\\TU HERE
or
2.5 Install Title Update via Aurora/Unity and set to "enabled"

3. Install compatibility package in Content\0000000000000000\4156091D\00000002\\CP HERE

4. The game must be launched by a "live" profile or it will error in the menu (No you cannot switch to a live profile once in menu, error will continuously occur until rebooting the game with the live profile)

5. You must have an active LOCAL network connection to the console (Ethernet or WIFI connection IS required,, internet access IS NOT required, I just tested this on a spare router) else you will get a continuous LAN connection error in menu.


again these are just my findings , not trying to say anyones method is wrong or right, as I said , whatever gets it working for ya, hope that helps a few

There is an easier way already ( without the need of live profile, or any additional file extraction ), with Hex editing the CP. Just change the offsets from 234 to 237 with eight ff ff ff ff.
