    I've been thinking about getting a JTAG to be able to test mods and stuff. I have a first gen 360 that has never connected to live, but the dash updated to NXE from the HDD I was using on it. this was back in 2009 so it may not be able to be JTAGed

    check your system info. Any console with the 7371 kernel or a lower version of the kernel are most likely vulnerable to the hack.

    It has 2.0.9199.0 which is weird cause it's never been online. It even says 2010 Microsoft Corporation....oh well..

    well like you said it may have been on that hdd or you may have gotten it off of a game update.

    I'm going to get one soon to test mods and what not. My only question really is are they safe online? Will you get banned without using mods?

    you won't be able to take your jtag online. those days are gone. if you take it online you are going to get it banned almost immediately.

    update ur jtag to the latest dash m8 allought bf3 can force update so beware and more games will do this im sure

    i believe it's within a matter of minutes.
    I believe it's in a matter of minutes. It wouldn't be long enough to do any lobbies or any of that. You're only real option is XLink-Kai for network playing on your jtag.

    where are you located? If you are in the UK area then Splats or ADDZ are probably your cheapest most reliable bet. If you are in the states dontdropthesoap is your man. They should all be in the marketplace where Bezza sent you.

    Im in the United States and it would be easy to buy em from someone who's widely trusted as he seems to be on this site i don't wanna take a chance of getting burned because some of those places can be quite shady
