Hi im thinking of changing over to flash my drives in dos flash the one with the bootable usb etc.. Ive got a lite on and a benq here needing to be flashed to 2.0 , would anyone be able to set me up with a tut. Because i do not know how this works etc.. Would i power off and on ck3 when erasing the drive etc.. is the benq and lite on drives gotta be half open before flashing etc.. P.s i dont really like jungleflasher this why i am wanting to change to this Thanks Pat.
Ok Benq drives are better done with jungle flasher But sometimes i get a problem when i flash with dosflash I use a cd called nfts dos I load this and the navigate to the dosflash folder somethink like this c: cd xtreme then i type C: dosflash This will then load dosflash and it looks for anything attached My lite on's show up in no.7 I then select 7 and u then get some choices [W] to write [E] to erase & liteon e to erase a liteon Once thats done u type Dosflash again but this type the drives ID is un identified Choose the same No7 and choose write. And type your name of the hacked firmware Now as i said i use this when i have a problem IE pc crashs after i have erased the liteon using jungleflasher but by that time i have already dumped the drive and made my hacked firmware And then saved my hacked firmware (i always save it as hack.bin) Hope this helps (its not indepth) but if u need a copy of the cd i use i'll dump it and upload it somewhere.
Yeh sweet could u pm me the stuff to get i got a replace pcb liteon board i think the pcb fried but no smoke or anything i dont know how etc.. so im gunna do this with that i also got a benq drive to test thats why i want to do it and got a couple of mates to do etc.. so would u suggust doing friends in dos or jungle ? in dos do i have to have the drives half tray open etc.. power on and off the ck3 or do i just write the commands u have said and thats it ?
Doing it in jungleflasher is easier and straight forward The good thing about doing it dos it there is no freezing yeah if your doing a liteon drive its old school way of drive half open
