I collected 12,000 coins on stunt mode and exited back to menu, then only had 10 coins tried a couple of times and same result each time. EDIT 2: Tried a fresh save and championship mode, after winning the first set of races and being awarded 16,000 coins, I went into stunt mode and only had 10 coins again.
