Unresolved BioShock 1&2 Game Save Editor not working.

i am facing same issue. I tried to download new 360R... and tried but still cannot edit the save as its still saying that i need to have money.

Actually the problem is that the file offsets for where the cash and adam are located have become invalid if you had installed the update that the game has you install when you first start the game, the only way to resolve this is to either rewrite the editor or remove the update from the harddrive, unfortunately if you have one of the newer xbox's your out of luck because I have not seen away to attack the drive to PC, I have an old xbox around somewhere, but in the middle of moving so its packed up. the editor i believe is basically made for the pre-updated game file

 

ok found the exact cause of the problem and why it's working for some and not working. It's as I said before the offset locations for where cash and ADAM are located have been changed some DLC content that adds 2 more plasmids and 2 more gene tonics to the game, which must have pushed the cash and ADAM out of there original spots, thus making them invalid. unless the editor is fixed the only way toget it to work is to delete the dlc and keep loading game files to a point prior to adding the dlc and the gme stops babbling about missing content, cannot load save or something. Good for people who played the game and restarted playiing cause of the addition of bioshock 2 but bad for those who recently bought the game and noticed the dlc content early on.

Well i do have money and adam.
I tried to edit save but failed because of multiple location of same string.

Solution that i have found
Then i played games till i have 120+ money and 120+ adam (save little sister).
With this when i tried again with R360, it worked and i can change my money and adam (to 999) of course.

Later for testing i have made changed to to save file with hex editor and change 999 to 9999 and it worked because only two locations are found for 999 hex (Money and Adam).

Request to Admin, please change this thread title, add [Resolved] to start of thread.

 

In my case i do not have any DLC.
The money and adam i have are 29 and 23 respectively.
