My RGH Falcon has just arrived, I recently bought this from a friend. I've noticed it has a lot of files and mods which I will never use as long as I have this Jtag. I would't mind clearing it all out Also I've been having problems with the Jtag in which when I boot XEX Menu with the External Drive it shuts down. When I took out the Hard drive it still shuts down once I've inserted it while on the XEX Menu to access the GOD Games. Before this problem occurred the external Hard drive began to display gibberish on XEX Screen meanwhile on my computer the hard drive is fine. The XEX Menu is 1.2 I just want to clear out all these problems and I'm sure this can all be fixed if I format and install FSD 3 or something like that? I'm not too sure as I'm quite new to the whole concept of Jtag In other words, i want to install all the software which are said to be best and the latest for my RGH to make Modding and playing smooth. If anyone can help me out with some advice on what to do, that would be great.
surely who you bought it from knew it was like that and could help, if not there's loads of RGH pro's on here mate, I myself don't have one yet, I'm waiting to have a top spec dual nand custom built for me in the next couple of months. Have you asked who you bought it from was he from here at XPG, I'd of bought it from someone on here like Splats or ADDZ and you'd have no prob's
burn the iso version of xex menu its always handy on disc in-case anything goes wrong EDIT: personally i dont use GoD containers, i use folder rips in-case theirs any thing i want change inside the folders like textures etc (they display the exact same way as God containers on fsd)
like addz said format it start fresh all i use on all my rgh's fsd3 dash launch 3.06 xm360 xex menu they r the main things i use cheers wayne
i would suggest fxmenu to xex menu as it doesn't show up in recently played games like xex menu does.
Okay sorted everything out, so thank you guys for that However I've got a new problem, the external hard drive which i've formatted to Fat32 seems to be displaying gibberish on XEX Menu and on FSD...currently on the hard drive is GOW3 extracted from the ISO.
The only folder I currently have on the External Hard Drive is Games>GOW3 Yes it works fine on the PC.
create a folder called games on the root of your external hdd now on fsd go to setup>settings>content settings>manage game paths press Y to add a new path, press A to change path press A on usb0 then again on games and then press Y on the ... folder at the top, now slide your left stick left so scan depth says 10 then press X to save it now go to scan settings and click on start manual scan then check your library again
I've tired to do your method, however the hard drive is detected and just displays files with gibberish names. I've tried another external hard drive which I use for my PS3 which is also Fat 32....it isn't even detected on the xbox I spoke to my friend [5:38:04 PM] Fevere: ive tried extracting the iso [5:38:15 PM] Fevere: but its displays giberrish on Xex menu [5:39:24 PM] Friend': its meant to!!! [5:39:32 PM] Fevere: why??? [5:40:56 PM] Friend': just put all the content back on the hard drive! - (I formatted the drive) [5:41:24 PM] Friend': and i will try and teach you to ecrypt to your jtag I have no clue what he's talking about
download xm360 its has a option to repair file names that hdd that you use on your ps3 that doesnt work on your xbox has probably got a security/utilities partition that blocks the xbox from reading i have one that did the same until i modded the external hdd motherboard now it works perfectly if xm360 doesnt work ill assume there something faulty with your xbox i have a jtag and a rgh and haven't encounter that problem post some screenshots of them you do this by press the left stick and they will save to hdd1/freestyle/data/screenshot then upload up so i can take a look also how did you extract the iso?
Ok I ran Xm360....but gave up on it...could't find anything when I was scanning, just keep pressing random buttons...then gave up...however when I ran XeX Menu, it was able to read the hard drive...don't know if it was Xm360....probably was. But thanks a lot
Install: 0000000000000000/4D5308AB/00020000/dlc goes here scan with xm360 just incase dlc is locked if locked just unlock job done
right this dlc to be installed to your internal hdd in this case it should be in this folder hdd1/content/0000000000000000/4D5308AB/00020000 this should already be unlocked being custom dlc in future if its not unlocked and if xm360 doesnt work for you use 360 content manager which is a pc app to unlock dlc alot of people prefer using this dlc should always be placed in hdd1/content/0000000000000000/titleid/00000002/
